These cards are absolutely stunning!!!!! (photos coming soon)
Many of you always look forward to our Annual Used Stamp Sale in the Fall. We would like to take this opportunity to announce the details. Please note the time change - this year we've changed the opening to 8am and closing to 1pm!
We will be renting spaces again this year. All spaces will be manned by you. You will need to bring your own table, chairs, money for change, bags, and any other supplies you might need. We feel this will give you the bargaining power which can be very beneficial for selling your items. Aside from the rental fee for the space, any money you make is yours to keep – Stamper’s Alley does not take a portion of the sales.
We have 9 spaces available on the porch and more in the parking lot. Space rental fees:
10’ wide space on the porch - $25
9’ wide space (basically the size of a parking space) in the parking lot - $20
The sale will be held on Saturday, October 7 from 8am until 1pm (rain date is Sat., Oct. 14). Vendors can start setting up as early as they like that morning. Items for sale are limited to craft items only – stamps, inks, punches, dies, paper, etc. – no household items allowed. You are not required to stay until the sale is over, it is entirely up to you how long you stay – but remember there may be some bargain hunters at the last minute and you have the option to offer lower prices on your goods, and maybe make a few more sales!
As always, we will be doing lots of advertising for this sale. Space is limited, so please do not wait until the last minute to reserve your spot. The space rental fee must be paid at the time the reservation is made, no exceptions.
If you feel that you don’t have enough inventory to make it worth setting up a table, why not get together with some friends and share a space?
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. 704-664-5068, Tues - Fri., 10am - 5pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm. You can also send an email to email@example.com.
In 1979 I met the person was to become my best friend in the whole world, Harold Elliott. We were married in 1981 and in 1983 my second most wonderful friend in the world was born, my son Jesse. Wanting to spend all the time possible with my baby I began my own business. “The Painting Post” was born. I taught decorative painting, sold country crafts, and did craft festivals. As time went by I decided to move to a more populated area of Mooresville. I found an empty bait and tackle store on Hwy 150, remodeled it into a cozy country store and continued to teach painting classes. In 1995 I moved to 130 W. Plaza Drive. I was introduced to the rubber stamping world in 1997 by Mrs. Gloria Hintz and the rest is history and I have never looked back.
Stamper’s Alley, and with the help of my wonderful friends without a doubt has helped see me through some very hard times. The loss of my Dad, my dear sweet husband and most recently my Mother. Had it not been for Stamper’s Alley customers I could not have made this journey. This is why it saddens me so much to have to say goodbye to Stamper’s Alley. I will be closing at the end of this year, if not maybe later. The landlord is attempting to sell the property. He has a very good prospect and whether it goes through or not, he will eventually sell to someone.
Stamper’s Alley has been my life, my rock, my crutch, my happy place, my hideaway, and most of all a place where smiles and laughter were so easy to come by. I have made so many, many wonderful friends. We have shared many stories some sad and some happy. You were kind enough to introduce me to some of your family members. I have seen your babies grow up to be beautiful young men and women. When I think I will not be able to see you again it saddens my heart so much. It has been 30 years and I have loved every minute. OMG! If these walls could talk.
I am sorry to say we will not be placing any orders but for some very, very limited items in the shop (tapes, glues things like that) and as always if it is something we can possibly get for you without making a full order we will try to help.
Many of you have met Karen Vandivier, Joy Martin, Vicki Freeze, Dani Beckman and Harriet Wood. These ladies have been a godsend to me since the beginning of this year. They have helped keep the doors open at the shop so I could work at my business outside of town known as HM Elliott, Inc. This is the business that my husband began in 1995.I would also like to extend a special thank you to Jackie Parkins, my computer wizard, for all her wonderful help throughout the years and for working at Stamper’s Alley when my sweet lovely friend Barbara Hammerstad moved back to Minnesota. OMG! How could I ever forget all the wonderful classes and wonderful goodies my Rock Hill buddy Melinda Doster has done for me and Stamper’s Alley. There is no end to her talents and graciousness. A HUGE THANK YOU TO EACH OF YOU, ESPECIALLY KAREN, for being there for me.
I will never, ever forget all of you and all the love and friendship you have shared with me. I cannot tell you enough how much you mean to me.
We will keep you informed and if you have any questions please call, email, or Facebook us anytime.
Hi, everyone. Lots to read and hope you take the time to read all of this.
Aren't you just loving this cool weather we are having? ;-) Oh my, just because we are ordering Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas paper does not make it cool outside! If only!
So, I will just sit under a nice cold fan while writing this update.
NEW CLASS: Harriet will be doing a class on this lovely idea for an inexpensive gift.
While these samples are not made with Christmas paper, they are lovely and very easy to do with the pattern Harriet will have for you. This class called "ALL YEAR LONG" will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 10:00 AM. Cost is just $12.50. It is my understanding you will be making 2 of these in the class and the calendars will be included. All you need to bring is a small paper trimmer, glue, double sided tape, and scissors.
REMINDERS: Ellen's tissue box class, PRETTY IN PLAID, is Saturday, August 19th at 10:00 AM. Price is $25.50. Remember, she will have everything cut and scored for you. Also, you will be getting excellent directions to do this at home and the leftover paper pack to take with you. The box is made of a heavier card stock than you are used to using. We do have this in stock. Please bring a tissue box with you (square kind) along with glue, tape, and scissors
SATURDAY. OCT 7th. Next used stamp sale. Call the store to get your spot reserved. I know we had to turn away a few ladies in the Spring. Now is the time to start planning.
JULY 26th, Wednesday is the final Christmas in July MITI. Rumor has it you will be making a shaker card. Now don't hold me to that but that is what I heard. Whatever it is ...it will be cute and easy to do. We have made some very sweet cards this month.
Got to get those Saturday MITI back on the calendar, too.
LASTLY, Don't forget ALL HERO ARTS is on sale thru July 29th at 45% off - what a great deal! Got to make room for all those new things we are seeing. Oh, my... decisions, decisions.
If you see something new coming up online, let us know and we can check and see if the store will be getting it.
Hmmm, what will Karen put on sale in August? (Hope Brenda is not reading this. I still don't think she realizes I have been putting things on sale!)😺😬🐶.
