Lots of Stuff

This is a long post so be sure to read all the way to the end so you don’t miss anything!

No More Shims Embossing Mat

We have a brand new product in the shop! It’s the No More Shims Embossing Mat from Scor-Pal.

no more shims

The Top Selling No More Shims Mat has taken embossing with the Cuttlebug and the Big Shot to a new dimension.

In addition to using it with the Spellbinders dies, you can now emboss things such as leaves, sequins, lace, and lots more ordinary household materials to make great embossed backgrounds. When putting one of your Nestabilities through, and even your Impressabilities, you will see the huge difference it makes. You can run coins and charms through and make your own embellishments by embossing them on to craft foil (up to the thickness of a quarter). You can flatten bottle caps with the mat in both the Cuttlebug and the Big Shot. You can flatten up to 6 aluminum caps at a time. All instructions included with the mat for the Cuttlebug and the Big Shot. Please note you cannot run coins, bottle caps, etc. through an electric machine, but you will be able to emboss lace, leaves, etc.  This truly is the only embossing mat you will ever need! NOTHING ELSE COMPARES!!!

Here are some links to YouTube videos for using this fantastic mat with the different machines:

Tim Holtz® Distress Stains™

We have all 37 colors of the new Tim Holtz Distress Stains!

Distress Stains are fluid water-based dyes for papers and other porous surfaces. Use for quick and easy ink coverage for backgrounds and larger areas. Mist with water to lighten color and create mottled effects. Apply layers of stain to achieve more saturated color. Available in the entire Distress color palette.

The brushed nylon dabber top has a built-in spring valve. This allows for controlling the release of Distress Stains from the bottle. By pressing the dabber top down onto surface, the valve opens and fluid releases. Lift dabber away from surface to stop fluid flow. Spread Distress Stains by swiping the dabber top lightly as a brush across the surface.

The Distress Stains coordinate with the all of the other Distress products including the embossing powders, Crackle Paint, Stickles and most importantly, Distress Ink Pads.

One more thing

We forgot to mention that we will be having another Make ‘n’ Take this Saturday, starting at 11am. See you then!

A Gentle Reminder

We wanted to remind you all that this Saturday, August 13 is the last day to order from the new Hero Arts and Sizzix catalog for a 20% discount. Once we receive these wonderful new stamps, dies and embossing folders they won’t last long, so why not stop in and order some for yourself! They are pretty cool….you know you need them.

Dave Brethauer’s class last weekend was a huge hit and we would like to thank him for sharing his talent with us. It was so nice to meet his wife, Monica, and their wonderful children, too! Memory Box is truly a family business. Dave is a wonderful teacher and we hope all of the class participants learned a lot. We look forward to seeing what you create with your new skills.

There is a change we’d like you to take note of. It has been brought to our attention that some people are unable to take advantage of the 40% off one item with a Michael’s coupon on Thursdays because we close at 5pm. So, we have decided to change Fantastic Friday to Super Saturday in order to give everyone a fair chance to participate. Remember, the discount is on one in-stock item only and the coupons must be the ones from your local newspaper. We cannot accept internet or mobile coupons, sorry. There is a limit of one coupon per person, per day.

Here is a happy group of students from Dave’s class:

Class with Dave

See you soon!

I hope I didn’t confuse anyone, but the Memory Box class is Saturday, not tomorrow. So, Brenda will be there Saturday and the colored pencil and watercolor pencil sets will be available Saturday.

I apologize for any confusion. It’s hard to keep track of the days at times.

Memory Box Class Info

First of all I want to let you all know how much I appreciate each and every one of you! Even with the store hours cut you have continued to support Stamper’s Alley and I am so grateful for that. I miss you all and hope to be able to get into the store more often soon. I will be there tomorrow for Dave Brethauer’s classes, so please stop in and see me!

We will have colored pencil sets and watercolor pencil sets available for purchase at 30% off for the class participants  tomorrow only. We have a limited supply of these sets, so you might want to do a little shopping before class.

Thank you again, and I hope to see you soon!
