Come and Get ‘Em

If you have been thinking about getting some (or some more)Copic markers now is the time, before the price goes up next week! The current price is $6.25, next week they will be $6.50. Copic sets the price, we have no control over that, and they raised the price we pay for them as well. So, don’t wait - come in tomorrow and get ‘em before they are gone. We are expecting a new shipment but it will be at the new prices.

Other things happening this Saturday:

  • Make ‘n’ Take with Harriet in the morning thru early afternoon
  • Hero Arts and Just Rite holiday catalog ordering ends tomorrow (the Hero Arts and Sizzix orders are available until August 13)
  • If you have a July birthday and haven’t used your 20% discount yet, tomorrow is your last chance

We have the new Stamp of the Month board and it is adorable. The stamps won’t be available for purchase until next Thursday, but stop in and have a peek at the board.

While you are there why not sign up for Karen’s Inky Antics Honey Pop Class? Saturday, August 20 @ 9:30am and it’s only $22. The cards are too cute - you can see them in person at the store or on the website (but they really are better in person).

We hope to see you all there tomorrow!

New Class

We have added a brand new class to the schedule for August - with the Inky Antics new Honey Pop Collection.

Aren’t these just adorable?? The class is August 20 at 9:30am, Karen Vandivier is the instructor, you will make 4 cards, and the cost is $22. We will have all of the stamps and papers in stock the day of the class so you can take some home and make your own wonderful creations with these cute little guys.

Reserve your spot soon, I’m sure the class will fill up quickly!

Just a couple of things…

A reminder about the Make ‘n’ Take tomorrow (Saturday) from 11am - 12:30pm. The cost is $2 and if you make a purchase that totals $30 or more you will get a $2 credit. No restrictions on companies or brands this time!

Fantastic Fridays are coming! What are Fantastic Fridays, you ask. Well, starting next week, we will be accepting the 40% Michael’s coupons - only on Friday. Fantastic, right? Exactly! Now for the small print:

  • We will only accept the “40% off one item” coupon from the newspaper, no Internet coupons or other variations (such as 20% off your total purchase, etc.).
  • One coupon per person, per day, and the coupons are good only on in-stock, regular priced merchandise.

That sounds like a pretty fair deal, right?

We also wanted to remind you that the Copic price increase is effective August 1, so if you have Copics on your wish list now is the time to get them.

The Hero Arts and Just Rite catalog orders are still going on, through the end of July, and we will have the new Hero Arts & Sizzix catalog next week! You are going to want them all, they are just too cool.

See you all tomorrow!

Hero Arts and Sizzix have teamed up!

Hero Arts and Sizzix have teamed up to bring you two new lines of coordinating sets of cling stamps, embossing folders, and die cuts!

Framelits from Hero Arts. This unique product pairing of Sizzix and Hero Arts allows crafters a quick, easy and accurate method to cut around rubber-stamped images.  Each Sizzix Framelits Die Set comes packaged with its own matching cling stamp set from Hero Arts. The first release includes 10 different packs of Framelits ranging from five to eight dies along with the accompanying cling stamp sets from Hero Arts.

The new Sizzix Framelits Dies are wafer thin with no extra metal between the cutting part of the die and the inside — this means that you can see right through them to line up the die with the coordinating stamped image for perfect placement, every time! Finally, die cutting made easy!

Here is just a little sneak peek…

The new embossing folders are also super simple to line up with the coordinating stamps! Here’s just one of our favorites!

You can see them all here:

THEY ARE READY TO SHIP!! We will be receiving the catalog sometime next week and we can hardly wait! We will have open catalog ordering and you will receive a 20% discount for prepaid orders over $50 (before tax, of course). This special will expire August 13. We realize that doesn’t give you a lot of time to come in, but these are such a hot item at CHA this week and we don’t want to be the last shop on the block to get them.

Here are a couple of short videos showing how easy they are to use and what fantastic results they give.

Unlike the previous two weeks, this Saturday you will not be restricted to certain items in order to receive the discount.

Hero Arts and Just Rite

Starting tomorrow, July 14, you will be able to place a prepaid order from the new Hero Arts catalog and/or the new Just Rite catalog. You will receive 15% off your total order and this offer will run through July 30.

There are some wonderful new images in both catalogs, so stop in soon and treat yourself to some new goodies!

If you stop in on Saturday, Harriet will be having another Make ‘n’ Take using the new Memory Box collection from 11:30am to 12:45pm. This card is different from the one last Saturday, so if you made that card you will get some new ideas this time. The cost is $2 and if you participate in the Make ‘n’ Take you will receive $2 off your purchase of $15 or more of the new Memory Box What’s in the Box Holiday 2011 collection!

We also wanted to mention that Great Impressions, the people who bring you the Stamp of the Month, have increased their prices. The good news is that they are offering their stamps in cling mount as well as wood mounted, and the price is lower! So, next month (August) we will be getting the Stamp of the Month in wood mount, since it is half price with any other $10 purchase, and the rest of the stamps on the board in cling mount.

If you have never used a cling mounted stamp before, they are the same stamps that are on the wood mounts, but instead of wood they are mounted onto a cushion that clings to an acrylic block. The quality of the stamp is exactly the same, the only thing missing is wood. We would be happy to show you how they work, so please don’t hesitate to ask next time you are here.

Other companies, like DRS Designs and Impression Obsession, also offer cling mount versions of their stamps and these are less expensive that the wood mounted ones. We know that budgets are tight everywhere these days and wanted to let you know about these less expensive options, so you can keep on stampin’!

Better late than never

Here is the July Stamp of the Month Board. The July 4th holiday just threw me off schedule, sorry!

This month it is an adorable quilting and sewing theme:

This is the stamp of the month, which is half price with any other $10 purchase in the store:

Memory Box What’s in the Box Holiday 2011 Collection

It has arrived and the Grand Unveiling will take place this coming Saturday, July 9 at 10am. We will also have a Make ‘n’ Take featuring some of the new stamps and dies from 11:30 am - 12:45pm. The charge for the Make ‘n’ Take is $2, but if you participate in the Make ’n’ Take and purchase $15 or more of the new What’s in the Box collection you will receive your $2 back in the form of $2 off your purchase!

The What's in the Box Holiday 2011 collection includes new 6x6 paper pads, new 12x12 papers, new stamps and new dies - all for Halloween, Fall, and Holiday projects.

Memory Box dies are made of 100% steel.  They can be used on cardstock, felt, fabric, Shrink Plastic and more. And best of all of their dies are made in the USA!!

We don’t have very many images of the stamps or dies to show you but we did get a few samples from the Memory Box Blogs and around the interwebs - just a couple of sneak peeks to whet your appetite.

We have too many new dies and stamps to list, so don’t be last to see these lovely new designs. Come on in soon, but please make sure you check our new store hours, as they have changed - Thursday and Friday - 10am - 5pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm.
